First Baptist Christian School

First Baptist Christian School is a private, co-educational day school in George Town, Grand Cayman, serving students from Preschool (ages 2–3) through Grade 8. Founded in 1996 by First Baptist Church, FBCS offers an American-style education grounded in Christian values, personalised support, and a strong sense of community. FBCS follows the U.S. curriculum aligned with Virginia State Standards, enhanced with Cayman Islands Social Studies and ACSI Bible instruction. The curriculum utilises structured resources (e.g. HMH, Envision Math, Stemscopes, Generation Genius) and integrates technology via iPads and Chromebooks. Teacher assessments are supported by data from platforms like Renaissance STAR and MAP testing, ensuring progress tracking and personalised learning.

FBCS enrols around 220–230 students, with an average class size of 12–15 and a student–teacher ratio of approximately 12:1, supported by 15 teachers. School hours are 7:55 am to 2:45 pm, Monday–Friday, with optional after-school care available until 5:30 pm.
